Day 48 of 100 Freebies

Hello everyone. How are you all doing?

Is it me or is the internet painfully sloooooowwwww today?? Perhaps its something to do with 'Earth Hour' and saving energy? I've been sitting here with just the light from the pc and a candle to try and do my bit. Its quite nice actually lol.

Having said that, I might not feel quite so relaxed had I watched all of Most Haunted lol but fortunately, Jay had set the sky to record and so my programme ended rather abruptly, right in the middle of one of Yvettes screams, hmmmm. It's not the same without Derek Akhora though. He was just so much fun to watch.

The Great CT Appreciation Week

My BIG Secret can now be revealed, hehe. Whats it all about?? Let me tell you.

We Designers work long and hard on our kits and Digi Products because we want to give our customers the very best service we can. One important way for us to show you what we have is through layouts. This is a very important part of our business. However, we very often don't have time to do this ourselves so we have Creative Teams to work their magic for us. A Creative Team Member would take a kit and create a layout using it then post it to their Galleries letting people like you know what products they used and where to find them.

All they get in return for their dedicatated work and wonderful talent is the use of the Designers kit (usually for free).

What can WE do for them?

Hello everyone. Hope you've all had a lovely day. Mine has been busy, busy, busy today. I managed to finally complete my next three Birthstone kits so they should hit the stores some time next week and I've also finished up another two kits but they will have to wait until my NO NAME kit finds out who it is and is won by one of you lucky people.

I must say, so far the suggestions have been absolutely fantastic. I've loved them all and all I can say is I'm soooooo glad its Elly picking from the Easter Bonnet this Sunday, lol. Good Morning Everyone. I hope you all had a great day yesterday. As you know, I spent the day turning the house upside down trying to find Jays Teaching Certificate for his interview this morning but we couldn't find it so he's gone without it. A BIG thank you all for your kind wishes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I'll let you all know how it turns out.

As for that weird storm last night, LOL, if you'd seen me hiding under my covers like a child I'm sure you'd have laughed your socks off. Anyway, today its still windy but not as bad as yesterday so lets hope things will settle down. I don't know about you guys but I sure am ready for spring and some brighter weather.

Hmmmm, I'm going to be late.....

Hello Girls
I'm sorry but it looks like I'm going to miss todays post. Either Google are being very naughty OR the freaky wind, lashing rain, crazy lightening and NO thunder is having some bad effect on my ability to get Blogger to upload anything.

However, do not fret, I will be here tomorrow, bright and early, and, all being well, will have Day 30 and 31 of your 100 Freebies along with all the NEW links for the CLD Birthday bash.... hey.... but thats not all.... Oh no. I also have for you, from tomorrow, 7 days of lush CLD Birthday bonuses AND a gorgeous little goody to add to my new Easter Parade kit. Phew, worth the wait???

I know, I'm showing off a little now. Well, I hardly get chance to actually enjoy a little scrapping these days so I've started doing some of the SAS, DID and CLD challenges lately, just to keep me active. This lo was done for the SAS Inspiration Challenge which you can find here and don't forget topeek in at my challenge and have a go.

I used KimB's wonderful CU papers and frame, Sweetmades gorgeous swirlys and the Amazing Glitter Queen Flergs fantastic Personal Use Borders. Yup, I loved them so much I ran over to her store and bought them. I mean, how could I resist...... hehe

Finally, I HAD to share this with you before it goes. My guy, Jay is responsible for his School getting the second highest OFSTED report in the country. Thats a fantastic achievement and I'm so so proud of him. Yesterday, the local Manchester TV News did a peice on the school and filmed him in the class with some of the students. Good day everyone. How's your day going? Mine has been busy and interesting. Jay, my other half, was on our local news tv this afternoon talking about his school. They are second throughout the country for their achievement and thats Jay's department. Bless, he was sooooooo funny coming home from school today and running in to see if it was on tv. The interview lasted all of a minute or so and he looked really good too, darn it, so no red face from him. Unlike me when I had my little 15 minutes of fame. I still get stared at 2 years on, its freaky lol.

It even came with a gorgeous tiny daffodil from the garden. I wasn't expecting anything at all so it was a lovely surprise. All in all, its been a pleasently chilled out day for me. I hope you've all enjoyed that same sense of peace and joy.

Todays freebie is this adorable set of 2 crochet flowers. Remember when crochet was all the rage? My mum was a wizz with the crochet hooks and my sisters and I were never so well dressed. Of course, when she crocheted me a swim suit I had to show it off at our local Open Air baths (no longer there). Lets just say it was an experience that was to mark me for life, hehe. Why did no one warn me that wool EXPANDS when wet!!!!! Yup, the whole crowd got a view I'm sure they still talk about to this day and it was more then my very red face. I never went back there ROFL.

I found another little treasure in my Blossoms treasure chest of goodies. This lo comes from Lynn using my Mother Kit, most approriate for today don't you think and I love roses. She did this lo for one of the SAS challenges. Isn't it great. Thanks hun, I love it.

And our lovely Amy did this lo, also for a SAS challenge (clever girls my Blossoms) all about her Grandmothers Love. I know only too well what she went through. My own darling Grandmother suffered too and spent her last year with me and the children. While it was the most difficult time of my life, I wouldn't change a single second. I'm so glad I got to be with her every day for that final year. Miss you Grandma but I know you're still with us all. Love you.

I couldn't resist showing off these gorgeous lo's my girls have done using my Everything You Are kit. This one is from Lois and shows us her beautiful Grandaughter, Brianna. Interestingly, that was the name I was going to use for the heroine in a book I was writing a while back. Yet another project shelved for the time being, hehe, I'm such a procrastinator. Anyway, I love how Lois used the kit for this super lo.

Here's another one by Lois. This time she cleverly used an royalty free image from the net. How cool does this lo look. I love it. Thanks Lois, you're a star.

And finally, here is one from our Rebecca, better known as Aldercreek at SAS. What a fantastic lo and isn't that horse just gorgeous. I think horses are the most beautiful creatures. Hey, that reminds me, The famous Grand National should be happening soon. Red Rum, famous for winning this amazing horse race three times was born, bred and trained right here in Southport and the race takes place in Aintree just up the road from us. I'm not a gambling person but every year Mum and I put a £1 bet on our favourite horse in the race. Its great fun to watch. Grandad was such a big fan of this event and adored Red Rum, even to the point of having limited prints of the horse and rider up on his walls.
