100 Days of Freebies

Its the Blog event of the year
A 100 Day Freebie Fest
to celebrate the life of My Grandfather

My Grandfather was an amazing man. Born on February 11th 1908 and baptized Percival Clarence, with a mop of curly blond hair and the brightest blue eyes you ever saw, you can imagine the teasing he got as a child, especially when part of it was spent in a Leeds Orphanage after the death of his mother during childbirth.

Grandad was a determined young fella and promised himself once he'd grown no one would ever tease him again. In his twenties, he changed his name to Peter and took up boxing earning himself quite a reputation as a heavyweight. His idol was Ali and I remember many Boxing day Nights watching an Ali fight with Grandad.

He was a self taught man like his own father and brothers and whilst still a young man, set up business as a grocer. He soon became established as a Master Grocer and eventually moved to my home town of Southport to set up a popular Grocery Store in the center of town.

He served with the Royal Air Force during WW2 and was proud of his contribution.

He was a very forward thinker. Always fascinated by space, the universe and its possibilities. One of his hero's is the famous Patrick Moore from Sky at Night and I'm sure this is where I get my love of stars and space from.

He loved to read and write and would have adored the internet, oh, what long in depth emails we would have got, lol.

He was such an active fit man that no one doubted him when he said he'd live to be a hundred years old. After all, it was in the Charnley genes. He walked everywhere, or rather 'marched'. He swam a mile everyday. He loved to shop for the 'old folk'. He loved his church and whilst he could be a stubborn old s0-and-so at times, he was the sweetest Grandad in the world.

The thing I remember best about him was how much he adored my Grandmother. They were married for over 50 years and on their Golden Wedding Anniversary, he had us all in tears when he said 'I only wish there were 50 more'

I miss him but somehow I know he's still around, clocking up the time until his 100 years are done. Grandad, its time. This is for you.

This mega kit was created to commerate what would have been my Grandfathers 100th year. He loved the colours Purple and Blue and he adored anything to do with space so you'll find lots of sparkles and spacy things included. But thats not all. He couldn't be kept out of his precious garden, rising with the birds each day to tend it. So you'll find plenty of gorgeous flowery things too, perfect for all your girly lo's.

The mega kit comes with a fantastic set of 12 4x6 brag book pages especially created for you by my Blossoms Rusty and Michelle. You get this FREE with your kit purchase. find out more here

You'll also find in store a FREE Grandad Sampler just to whet your appetites.

(This will be added soon so check back)

Here are just some of the lo's my Blossoms have created with this kit

We'll have more wonderful lo's for you throughout the Blog Festival and please, feel free to subit your own lo's using the kit/freebies. We'd love to see what you do.
